Grad School is not quite what I expected. For some reason I thought I had mastered the ability to write well. Maybe it is because I took classes from Dr. Mueller, who terrorized non-history majors (and some history majors). It has taken five weeks for me to realize that maybe, maybe I am not an idiot. My favorite class is American studies. I have yet to get a good grade on any essays I hand in, but the professor is chill and the work load is decent. My most hated class: Latin. I F-ing hate it. I suppose it is better than taking French, but sometimes I wonder. The professor is way nice, and is probably the best foreign language instructor I've ever had. That being said, Latin is a pain. The words are so irregular that translating them is a chore. People say it's a dead language, but I think whoever "killed" it should have used a silver bullet because it isn't dead enough.
I could really go for a J-dog.......

Fruitland Sleeping Arrangements
At the last Fruitland weekend, we discussed some of my quirks. For example, I really like sleeping on the couch. It just so happens that this couch is also the same one that an elderly family member passed away on. I figure he must have had good taste because that couch is super comfy (although, I am slowly becoming more and more inclined to the one in the tv room).
Why not sleep in the guest room? I know. I have heard that query many times, and here is my answer: the doll. The old doll of Consuelo's, the one without the eyes, is so creepy that I can't sleep there. The first time I slept there it was sitting on a chair facing me the whole night. It was so disturbing that the next night I put it in the closet and pulled the closet doors shut. I know it sounds odd, but, yes, I find the doll so creepy that I would rather sleep on a couch upstairs, where someone else never woke up, than in the guest room with that doll. Besides, if the doll really did ever become posessed and try to kill me, I think I would rather die on the couch. It's super comfy.

Here are my thoughts:
I am currently watching an episode from season three of Heroes with Asher. I figure that since Michy is allowed to post conversations, I can too.
Me: So, is the third season lame?
Asher: In what way?
Me: Is Peter still a dumb A?
Asher: He is getting better--he lost all his powers.
Me: Is Hiro still a dumb A?
Asher: ..Yeah.
Me: Is Mohinder still a dumb A?
Asher: I actually have seen very little of him this season.
Me: Is Claire still a dumb A?
Asher:.....Shut up.........
I haven't finished the episode yet, but it seems quite lame. Sylar is stuck with a more annoying actor than Elijah Wood, trying to find his "Father". What happened to the psychopath who just kicked A and took powers?

An Update!!
I know what you all are thinking "Holy crap, an update! What's the occasion?" Well, the truth is there isn't one. Ha! I blog without rhyme or reason!
Thanksgiving was cool. I actually worked last week and some this week, so that's a plus. I also spoke in church on Sunday, another plus. I actually quite enjoyed myself. Heck, I even quoted Star Wars. Yep, Yep, it was good stuff!
Today at work I had a Kindergartner tell me I was ugly. I had to try really hard not to laugh! You really can't reinforce negative behavior with laughter (so I didn't), but it was such an unexpected comment that it took a lot of self-restraint. Then we had fun coloring pictures. I even have some of them on the fridge.

Star Wars+ The Foo Fighters
I know I said I would make a list of awesome Arrested Development quotes, but this is really good too. I saw it a year ago on tv and just now found it on the internet.
